A Woman's Place - 1974 - Preached at Love's Temple in Monroe, GA.

"This is why that a woman cannot be a preacher. Ladies you can say 'amen' or 'oh me', or 'tell him to shut up.' But this is for sure, there's no make-believe about it. God does not call a woman to preach! He does not. Why is it that God doesn't call a woman? Alright listen, in just a few minutes you'll see why. God never has called a woman to preach, and God cannot call a woman to preach! God never will call a woman to preach because it is perversion, and it is exactly contrary to everything that God stands for! It is wrong. Alright look at it and lets see. We've got men going through the country that say they're a prophet, that say they're apostles, that say they're great men, and these people declare that God has called women to preach, and prophesy over them to put them in the ministry. Is that right? But Paul the Apostle said let your women keep silence. Isn't that right? He said, "Now Brother Pike if you think yourself to be a prophet (or brother whoever you are that says you're a prophet) or an apostle, or if you think that you're spiritual, lady or man, I want you to acknowledge that the things that I tell you are the commandments of God. Let your women keep silence, for it is not permitted unto them to speak. They are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law." Is that right? Now here's a good question: What is meant by being under obedience, as also saith the law? To be under obedience, what is meant by that? Alright lets just go back a step or two and run some things down and see if we can learn it. First: One of the things that is meant is that in the garden experience Eve proved to be the weaker vessel. Ladies whether you want to accept it or not. It is a proven fact that God put the church to the test and the church failed, and He put Jesus to the test and Jesus never failed! The woman failed, but the man was not found in the transgression. Any way you wanna look at it that's the way it reads. Now, Eve falling in the garden proved that she was the weaker vessel. God let that happen."
